Marzamemi’s Tuna Fishery has deep roots that date back to the 17th century, ever since this place became a key point for mediterranean bluefin tuna fishing.  

Tuna fishing took place through the “Mattanza”, an ancient practice that has been handed down from generation to generation.  

One of the architectural treasures of the Marzamemi’s Tuna Fishery is the Palace of the Princes of Villadorata, a splendid example of Baroque architecture.  

Inside the nucleus of the Marzamemi’s Tuna Fishery, the ancient church, the Arab courtyard and the fishermen's houses.  

An unique place that embodies the historical, cultural and food and wine richness of Sicily.
